The Route goes through the UNESCO world Heritage site of Serra da Tramuntana mountain range. I opted to do the mid distance of 225km. Elevation gain on the challenge was 4000m/ 13000 feet. I took up the endurance challenge to prove to myself that I was both physically and mentally capable of completing the race. Successfully completing the challenge left me on a high and thinking about my next challenge. I believe that setting goals and targets for myself, whether big or small, is a key part of my journey of progression as a cyclist. Hard work however pays off - I’m now getting ready for my next challenge in Italy in June.
